Our Purpose

Education is one of life's most powerful equalisers, yet many students face obstacles that make their academic journey more challenging. At its core, the Legacy Lift Initiative is grounded in the belief that every student deserves the opportunity to realise their full potential. Our mission is to uplift and empower ASJA students by ensuring access to the resources, guidance, and community support needed to thrive throughout their academic journey.

Founded by Dr. Sharaz Khan, an alumnus of ASJA Boys' College, the initiative reflects a deep commitment to giving back to the institution that has shaped so many lives. This project has the full encouragement and support of the current administration, who share its vision of expanding opportunities for students who need them most.

Legacy: A Cultural Voyage

Each year, the Legacy Lift Initiative will host its flagship Legacy event in dedicated support of the students of ASJA Boys' College, San Fernando. The inaugural event will bring together distinguished alumni, educators, and community leaders in a shared and purposeful commitment to advancing educational excellence and opportunity.

More than a fundraising endeavour, the Legacy brand represents a powerful expression of the enduring ASJA brotherhood. It is a call to stewardship, honouring the foundation laid by those who came before, while actively investing in the promise of those yet to come.

Meet the Legacy Team

Dr. Sharaz Khan

Chairman & Founder

Proud alumnus, former Deputy Head Boy, Principal's Award winner, and National Scholar. Trained at UWI, St. Augustine, holding Membership of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine. Leverages international experience across Trinidad, the UK, and Kenya to lead the Initiative’s vision.

Israel Khan

Deputy Chairman

Founder of ASJA FC. Holds a BSc in Management Studies and Economics. Works as a Treasury Analyst managing liquidity, cash flow optimization, and investment oversight. Dedicated to building sustainable financial networks for future generations.

Brandon Ramdass

Treasurer & Director of Finance

Earned a National Scholarship during his time at ASJA Boys' College. Holds a BSc in Chemical and Process Engineering and serves as a Laboratory Supervisor within the petroleum sector, ensuring quality and strict compliance standards.

Jesse Ramdeo

Director of Public Engagement & Communications

Represented ASJA Boys' College in Under-16 football. Holds a BA in Communication Studies and is completing an MBA in Marketing Management. Senior news reporter and producer at CNC3 and contributor to the Trinidad and Tobago Guardian.
